About Me
I don't know why you'd be interested in knowing more about me - I'm not that interesting in all honesty! But since you're here, I might as well offer the basics.
Early Life
I was born in a middle class neighborhood of Fillydelphia around 23850.47 Universal Standard Time. As a foal, I was always curious, which often meant that if I wasn't grounded, I was off getting into things I shouldn't have been messing with. What can I say? The local junk yard was just filled with treasures for an adventurous filly!
Around 24500 UST I managed to scavenge an old holovid player from the junkyard. It was in poor condition and the holovid chip was fused to the casing by Celestia knows what, but it quickly became my most prized possession - even though I had to hide it from my parents for several months while I tried to make it work again.
Eventually I succeeded, and was able to watch the holovid stuck inside it for the first time. I'll never forget the night I first watched The Neon Library Incident - I'd snuck out to my hidden workshop late in the evening, and since I didn't have a proper screen for the projector, I improvised with an old mostly clean sheet someone had thrown away.
The sound was choppy and the picture fuzzy, but that didn't matter. It was a victory I'd achieved all on my own. The Neon Library Incident isn't even that great of a holovid - the leading mare's acting is hilariously bad - but I learned something else important that day: a story doesn't need to be perfect or even well written to be entertaining and enjoyable.
Recent History
On 25682.40 UST, I made the biggest change of my life so far: I enlisted in an experimental cybernetic enhancement project, known as the Integrated Network Intelligence Transformation Project, or INIT Project. Consequently, I was selected to be merged with a new cybernetic chassis, sometimes known as a full body prosthesis.
As this permits me to directly interface with computer hardware, I have become a very prolific writer over the past few years - a secret I keep by using a pseudonym rather than my real name.
To my perpetual frustration, my more successful works have been pulp romance or science fiction novellas. Don't get me wrong; I'm still proud of their success and enjoy writing them, but I really prefer exploring more interesting themes like surviving disasters, reclaiming identity, or surreal speculative fiction.
As of 26020.32 UST, I've been working as the archivist for Selene Point Laboratories - a sprawling lunar colony that focuses on zoological and botanical research. My job is to ensure that the many reports and other digitally archived materials are properly filed, sorted, and stored away for safekeeping. Thanks to my augmentations, I can complete a day's work in a few hours, leaving my afternoons free to research story ideas or write.
Although my own investment in the project has been limited to managing the reports about it, I'm particularly honored to have played even a minor role in SPL's Dwarf Pegasi Conservation Program. As of the last mating season, we've successfully raised our local population to 35 healthy individuals from the original 12, supporting the current theory that habitat loss is the primary contributing factor to the decline of the dwarf pegasi species.
